What, exactly, was everyone expecting last night? We got a dose of reality.

New coach coaching in a real league
New scheme
Half the team is new
New QB

We were never going to be great this year

Our O-line is out of shape and still learning
Our QB doesn’t know the offense
Some WRs got frustrated
Our defense played sloppy
Our new coach is quickly learning the Louisiana player attitude and has to adjust. He also has to adapt to his players skills

I’m not excusing them - just asking how anyone expected any different?

Good, modern offenses don't take long to install

Why? This team was never going to be good enough to consistently expect wins against quality opponents

And don’t take long to figure out when run by an inexperienced offense

Lsu is basically the college version of a pro expansion team. We got high on our supply in the offseason we forgot that when kelly got here we didn't have enough players to properly practice. He took the job knowing it was a rebuild but knew what he could have here.

It may not take long to install, but 1 game isn’t giving much leeway.
Let’s wait until an actual SEC game before we declare the season over.

Do you think we are trying to implement a bad archaic offense?

Win both lines of scrimmage

Competent playcalling

Fundamentally sound game

Crowd that was far louder than FSU's fans

We failed on all fronts

A team and coaching staff that looked prepared.

A fundamentally sound team that is disciplined, well-coached, and executes well.

What we got looked like an Orgeron coached football team, complete with a basic lack of self control from numerous players.

We were schematically outmatched. Both of our coordinators called an atrocious game, and overall the team looked as if they had done zero preparation for this game.

I expected LSU to look like a reasonably disciplined team with few errors. Not perfection. Just an improvement from last year.

All parts of the game failed.

What do Coaches and Players expect from fans, to bake them a cake?

We were favored to win this game. I expected us to look prepared. I was expecting us to know how to block on field goal attempts. FSU is not a good team, why shouldn’t we have expected a win?

Ok with reasons. Hate excuses.

No real reason why we didn't win. It's all excuses to me.

3rd straight year of massive changes.

2019 to 2020: Ensminger takes over as OC and Pelini as DC
2020 to 2021: New OC and DC along with other changes
2021 to 2022: Completely new staff except for Davis.

As this season progresses you are going to see just how bad this Florida State team really is. LSU should have won handily. Any other SEC team would have won with ease. The fact LSU struggled and showed little effort for most of the game is alarming.
