Totally agree about the wrestling and them understanding leverage because of it. The conditioning and mindset that comes from. Wrestling is a big advantage also. I saw a quote from one of the linemen about him being short ( 6’1” ), his response was, “l like it because I can get under guys pads and gain control of them quicker, so I see it as an advantage.”

C’mon man, they were playing Maryland. Not that hard to dominate the LOS. Especially when baby Tua throws 5 picks, that’s why they ran up the score.

They play in the Big 10. Big difference athletically on those D fronts.

A lot of those linemen who wrestled are excellent athletes on both sides of the ball. In a brawl, I'd probably take the 6-4 285# kid that was a stellar wrestler every time over the 6-5 320# that never participated in such a sport.

Here's a video of Linderbaum wrestling during his jr year of HS against Tristan Wirfs. They both grew up within 10 miles of each other in small towns.
