What does harris have to do for auburn to respect the pass?

Does harris have to be a world beater or will he just have to manage the game and make the occasional necessary throw in order for auburn to not load the box? And if auburn respects the pass and plays straight up will the running backs be able to take over the game?

Throws that force the LBs to be involved in coverage. Basically, the one's we have failed to complete thus far.

When the safeties play 8 yds from the LOS like NMSU did, he has to be allowed to throw the ball behind them. Then it is his job to complete the pass.

Enter the game at the quarterback position.

He will have to sling it like Mettenberger did against Bama in 2012 and add lib with his feet. Our defense will have to be good enough to hold Auburn below 31 for victory. Just my thoughts

Start off by throwing a couple touchdowns will get the point across real fast.

Depends on the playcalling. I bet they really want to dominate the run this game to take away TOP from Auburn. Hopefully they can establish a decent passing game early on so Auburn doesn't play the entire game with 8 or 9 in the box.

I don't know, but if BH can come out in the first couple of drives and gain confidence, Aubie better watch out. Running lanes will be opened and all hell will break loose on the plains.

Complete the 10 yard short passes that Jennings missed. His threat of passing already makes defenses more honest

Really, if he throws a couple of sharp 10-15 yard completions early, that will set the tone.
Then

Keep throwing them perty spirals over and out of reach of the d and let his receivers do work like they do.

Relax and breathe. The kid is special and if he gets the first few throws under his belt successfully, the O will really come alive.
Honestly, I'm much more worried about the Dline and linebackers.

Auburnt is running the same o the did last year. our inside dline needs to hold up and play gap. Lil Nick likes to call his number lots but they do a bunch of quick hit passes. Got some speed and size outside as well. We need to pull a KS and lock em down.

Scramble like Marshall in my opinion. Get them off balance. Simple as that.
I thought LSU wins this game with Jennings, I think we win with Harris. Auburn is a very beatable team.

I like his ability to extend the play with his feet, but I don't like him to taking so many hits. That was awesome when he lowered his shoulder in the end zone last week, but he can't continue to do that I.e. RG3

As of right now the forecast says a 0% chance of stiff dew on Auburn on Saturday.

I know we are pretty high on this kid at the moment, but he is a true freshmen collegiate qb, and still very raw. He doesn't have the experience or poise to hang in the pocket and pick defenses apart. He needs to be on the move to disrupt assignments. I'm not comparing the 2, but johnny made a living of it. I know he is skinny as a rail, but if you are playing him because he can move the offense, you need to let him do what he does best to make that happen.

yes
I really don't care if they respect the pass (hoping they don't) because i think we will run a spread offense and i like our wr's one on one with BH throwing to them.

how about just be Brandon Harris. A 6-3 kid with 4.5 speed and a laser beam for an arm...how bout that ? pretty sure that will get it done.
