If manziel throws 3 INT's Lsu will win, like last year.

Our linebackers looked like midgets out there Saturday night. If you were at the game it was much more obvious then it is on TV. Kwon is super fast but he was bulldozed more then once. Not going to pick on Welter now

Maybe they will do better against a less physical Aggie offense.

Chavis is going to have to blanket mike Evans if Lsu is going to have a chance to win

Last year we had a linebacker who knew how to play the position , we defensive line man who could run him down, after 1st quarter he was done. We don't have anything this time to stop him . If he runs we can't tackle, if he throws recieved will be open.

Honestly, I think it's a better match up. One thing the Bama game showed was the lack of size but good speed. The smaller faster D should be more effective against JM. If Mike Evens gets doubled and chief contains JM I don't think it will be as close as last year. The biggest challenge is to get the mentality of the team ready to play another big game.

The majority of posters on tigerdroppings seem to think A&M is going to win. If you head over to Texags, you will see that the majority of aggies feel that LSU is going to win BIG. I just find that unusual to say the least.

It is a strange juxtaposition, indeed.

I want an A&M win badly (obviously), but I have no idea how this game will go. Gonna be interesting to say the least.

It is weird. It's a weird form of mutual respect or a severe case of Battered Aggie/Tiger Syndrome.

It is a difficult to predict game imo, lots of things could swing it wildly one way or another. It is true A&M has mainly been gashed by Zone Read/Running QB's. Our guys can tackle and hit, they are just young and are out of position a lot and have trouble with misdirection and assignments. Our DB's are actually decent but our problem is lack of pass rush. It has improved some (going from nothing to a little bit) but you can't let any QB (esp one with an arm like Mett) have 8 seconds to throw the ball in the pocket. If A&M can get some pressure on the QB and make some early run stops then I like our chances, if not we better score 50.

I do think Johnny is going to be very tough for LSU to stop. He had his worst game of his career against LSU last year filled with mental errors and he also seems to do better in hostile environments. We should be able to score. The bigger key offensively is taking care of the football, we have had way too many turnovers that have cost us games or prevented us from putting teams away when we had them on the mat.

One thing I know for certain, the tailgating food is going to be amazing. Anytime you mix Texas BBQ and Gumbo it's going to be good!

He is going to shite all over us. The bigger question is what will we (LSU offense) do to them? I honestly see A&M dropping 55 or so on us. We will need points on every possession to have a chance.

You guys are all talking about shredding our defense with your RBs. It's not the backs I'm worried about, it's the qb running that hurts us. For some reason a designed QB run gashes us worse that handing off to the backs. (which makes no damn sense considering they face the best every day in practice). If I am Miles, I don't care how immobile Mettenberger is, I'm making his arse run.

Um...
No.
There should be no reason for him to run. He's banged up, slow and has three badass RB.

The question is how long will LSU keep him off the field with the run

Bingo. We're just in the heavy flow part of the rant's period. It won't be a blowout, but LSU will control the clock all game.

Score points at will. Will be a frustrating game to watch because chavis will be back to playing super soft zone and 3rd and chavis hoping to contain JM and prevent the big play. Like was mentioned earlier offense will pretty much have to score on every possession just to keep up like they did against Georgia. If the offense plays like it has since the florida game and has any mistakes will be a long day.

The only remote comfort I have in this game is that somehow A&Ms defense is worse than ours. If we play ball control and run Hill all game, while really milking the clock (which is hard to do with A&Ms run defense being nonexistent) I see us winning. JFF will get his and A&M will score, but neutralizing that offense by placing them on the sideline will be key. If we dont see 100 points combined on the scoreboard though, I'd be surprised. It will be like the Georgia game but more scoring.

ETA: I grew up in Houston and have lots of close friends who called Aggieland home. We have had this discussion 10-15 times already. All parties are expecting lots of chain movement. But they really do believe their defense it that much worse than ours... That says something.
