I see Neal going in the 3rd or 4th round, just don't see him breaking 50% of snaps.Yeah, he started last year as an average sized DE for a 4-3. In a 3-4 he's an undersized end and a slow OLB.

Yeah, don't let the facts stand in the way. Those guys were on the bench last year while Neal played. He'll play more than them this year too.

Neal will definitely find the field for the majority of the time but I could see him sliding between OLB on early downs to DE on 3rd down as an inside pass rusher

Key is going to go off this year! I think he looks and plays a lot like GA's bad azz DEs in this D. Can't remember his name but he's a good one. I also think Beckwith is a first round pick after this years performance and did himself a huge favor coming back. Hopefully it convinces others that are 2nd and 3rd rounders as juniors to come back and get 1st round money. Can't wait to see what Aranda can do with these athletes. Will be awesome to see! GT

My goodness we will confuse offenses like no ones business this year virtually everyone of our front seven is versatile and can pass rush or cover or sit back and play the run. Perfect time to bring in Aranda and this new scheme. Will only get better also with Orgeron recruiting and Aranda teaching. I think lots of guys on the fence will want to come play for these two after they see it for them selves this year. Loving me some Aranda

Yeah Valentine is going to supplant Lacatoure who's been starting for 2 years.

Lacatoure and Valentine would be 50/50 by the 3rd game. This is a formidable duo right here. Rotate these two throughout the game and neither gets totally exhausted. That's been part of the problem in the past...no one on the same playing level to relieve the starters in the trenches.

Lacouture actually looked like one of the best lineman in spring. I think the 3-4 is going to benefit him more than anyone. He played his role very well there.

If Thompson starts at OLB we are in big trouble.

Unproven? Dude, did you see the recruiting rankings on our freshman? It'll never get old. The rant will rant.

Beckwith is the only returning starter at LB. And yeah, I saw our recruiting rankings. There's a difference between being a stud recruit and being a SEC starter.

Starters:

Neal Lacouture Godchaux

Bower Riley Beckwith Key

Backups:

Logan Valentine Herron
Roddy Gilmore Lawrence
E.Alexander

Thompson Divinity White Teuhema
D.Alexander Voorhies Patterson Washington
R.Thorton S. Martin A.Anthony

I would say a bunch of depth-Wow. Lookat our 3rd team or lets call it 3rd line Roddy, Gilmore and Lawrence or put Ed Alexander and that would be 3 freshmen studs but a very talented 3rd team!

Throw in Bower, Herron, Gilmore and Lawrence for good measure. Could turn out to be the deepest front 7 ever for LSU.
