The NFL encourages this kind of shite, for a number of reasons. 1) Footage of Cam Newton dabbing lends itself to SportsCenter highlights 2) it gets the fans excited 3) if it creates on/off the field drama, ESPN gets to talk about the twitter wars that ensue 4) It highlights certain players, increasing the likelihood that said players become superstars/celebrities, increasing the chances of endorsements & sponsorships & television advertisements.

Hopefully he just hasn't been in the league long enough and his teammates will straighten him out

Hopefully he'll use it as a learning experience and apologize.

He'll be fine

well that's a retarded way to look at it.

Not really. His stat line is a very nice game as is. It could have been elite but even if we look at his stats that he got, it's hard to say he was shut down.

Get out of here with that crap. Odell will learn from his mistakes and be better for it.

I hope he does. He's too talented to keep acting like this.

But, if I were playing or coaching against him, I'd damn sure try to set him off and get in his head every time until he proves he can handle it.

He's proven to have a glaring weakness his mental toughness. Why not exploit it.

It was one game. That's a huge stretch.

He should personally be embarrassed that his actions got out of hand. I bet 24 hours of reflection will wear on him and he will improve on that type of behavior.

I believe he was defending himself to a player that is known to be a dirty player and a bully. He did lose his cool and let the guy get in his head and thus acted unprofessional. The refs should have never let it get to that point of head hunting. I don't understand all the hate for Beckham, he will take his punishment and hopefully learn from it.

He's been chippy before, just not to the level we saw yesterday.

Steve Smith plays that every single game. Minus the glaring cheap shots. I loved the passion up until the head to head hit. That definately needs to get in check obviously but the fiery pissed off receiver can stay IMO.

They were both wrong for their actions. This was a big game for the Giants and the matchup between Norman and Beckham was huge from the beginning. They were both going back and forth the entire night. The only reason why Beckham should be suspended is because of the helmet to helmet hit and should have been ejected for the penalties.

There are some bigger issues going on with him because this isn't the first time he's displayed this kind of egregious behavior on the field. I heard there was some trash talking before the game between the two that Beckham took to heart which could explain what happened. It seemed like there is/was some beef between the two maybe before the game or time before that. Regardless, it should have never gotten to that point. Coughlin, hell even Eli Manning should have gotten in his shite and told him to calm the frick down. The refs should have also stopped the shite and ejected his arse before it went too far. He made it about the one on one battle between he and Norman and forgot about the implications of winning the game for the team.

The good thing about this is that he's still a young player with a lot to learn but his mentors and those who he looks up to needs to reach out to him and give his some guidance on how to move forward from here. His reputation took a hit here, but only he can decide how he wants to be remembered from here on out.

Beckham jr. Was not found guilty in a court of law so he is innocent of all charges, just like Ray Lewis is innocent of murder.

He cost his team the game IMO

He'll learn, the press got into his head and it's affecting his on field play. He's a bright guy, and superior athlete so he'll be a hero in no time, again.

It is the NFL, as long as he does not murder someone, break a woman's jaw, sell 40lbs of weed to an undercover, cry because he lost his millions, I dont care.

Wait. So if I'm understanding you correctly, you are stating that if a white person doesn't like dancing after a play, they are racists?

Looks like Odel felt threatened by a black bat in Normans hand pre game.
