Just trying to sneak in the casino with a fake ID doesn't seem to warrant the Punishment. What else did he and CLM have going on behind the scenes? I need answers from a fellow old head. That one move had us languishing down to QB purgatory and had lasting effects that took awhile to recover from.

It was a series of events.

1. Late 2006 - Perrilloux was questioned by federal officials for his role in a counterfeiting ring being investigated in his hometown of LaPlace. Perrilloux had tried to pass two counterfeit $20 bills at a LaPlace area convenience store. He was never arrested, but performed community service work.

2. May 2007 - Cited by Baton Rouge Police for attempting to enter a downtown casino with false identification. He was not 21 at the time. Punished for the summer (Ouch!). Reinstated for fall practice.

3. October 2007 - Perrilloux was in a barroom brawl near the LSU campus. He was questioned by Baton Rouge Police but not arrested. Miles suspended him for the Nov. 3 Alabama game, however, and he did not make the trip to Tuscaloosa, Ala. He re-joined the team two days after the game.

4. January 2008 - Skipping classes and team meetings. Miles suspended him from the team, yet allows him to go to the White House with the team to be honored by President Bush. He is one of the few members of the team to shake the President’s hand. The suspension was lifted late during the Tigers’ spring drills.

Also, the answer is what didn’t he do. Not everything made the list the poster above laid out.

The fact that Les miles didn’t recruit the QB good enough is why we were in the position we were in. Ryan P is to blame for 2008 for sure

In addition to all of this:

On May 2, 2008, LSU head coach Les Miles kicked Perrilloux off the team for "not fulfilling his obligation" as an LSU student-athlete. He is reported to have a failed a drug test due to marijuana, missed a team meeting, skipped classes and was late for a handful of conditioning workouts.

BTW I found this on his Wikipedia....so

Imagine what you have to do to get kicked off the team during the Les Miles era

The biggest two what ifs in LSU history:

1. What happens if Mathieu never gets kicked off
2. What happens if RP never got kicked off

it's usually a combination of things as opposed to a single infraction, same as Honey Badger, I'll probably get banned now because I did years ago for essentially sayin the same thing

What if Oklahoma State doesn't miss a field goal in 2011?

We would've had the "greatest team ever", until of course, the 2019 LSU team came around.
