Started a new gig about a year ago. Made my mind up to find one some time before I left. Once I made it official I heard from a lot of people who were surprised, shocked and extremely unhappy I was leaving.
It was bittersweet and sometimes I look back and miss the position and the accumulated subject matter expertise, the work itself. But then I look forward and realize that it was the best for them and the best for me.
Sometimes, as hard as it is, it's time to lick your effin' finger and turn the damn page. It's that time for all parties involved with Les Miles & LSU Football.
