It can shed light on the whole story. For instance, hypothetically JJ could have appeared at the interview with cuts on his hand which he explained as the result of football. If it is then established that his blood is at the scene it calls his whole story into question.

On the other hand, it could b powerful evidence if none of the blood at the scene belongs to JJ.

remember, Stone said they are looking for evidence to prove his guilt or innocence.

Maybe the marine scratched Jefferson's face or arms during the scuffle? In that case there would be skin under his nails. As much a possibility as anything else posted here, especially the suggestion that he jizzed on the dude.

How?

Would you expect someone to bleed from kicking another person?

The DNA testing is a huge fricking stretch in the investigation of this case.

the only thing is that they look for a bloody shoe. that's it. physically swabbing JJ is retarded.

OK of all the post the one that makes the most sense is the shirt fibers on his shoes.

So if they find some fibers on a pair of shoes then that would be evidence. If they find blood and no shirt fibers. then we have confirmed the shoes he wore with evidence he did not kick the guy.

thx

I'm sure they are doing DNA test probably because JJ's story is in direct conflict with the story of one of the alledged victim's and they may have some DNA evidence and they are trying to match the DNA.If JJ said he was not at or near fight and the alledged victims blood shows up on JJ clothes or shoes, JJ will have a hard time explaining how the victim's blood got on items belonging to him.

Which relates to swabbing him for a DNA sample how?

Again, how is this relevant to taking Jefferson's DNA?

Haven't figured it out unless they pull sweat from the shoe to prove it was jj shoe it was at the fight but did or did not contain shirt fibers.

If there's blood on JJ's shoe, it's going to be awfully hard to explain how that got there.

Allow me to rephrase. Of the various accounts both through the media and informal, none have suggested that he wasn't on the scene. It's an undisputed point as far as we can tell.

Pretty sure they'd be looking for some part of JJ left on the alleged victim.

Its obvious they took the shoe to sell it on e-bay. It could bring a pretty penny.

No doubt, but that still doesn't explain why Jefferson's DNA was taken.

Right. Maybe spit, sweat, etc.

But here is the problem - we know Jefferson was at the scene, in the bar, etc. All that DNA evidence proves is that at some point in time Jefferson was close enough to the guy that his DNA was transferred.

DNA evidence is really tricky. It doesn't really tell you anything expect location.

Not really if he stated in his story that he was tryin to break it up then he could get blood on his shoe. I don't see him gettin blood on his shoe fromkicking someone in the back. If there are shirt fibers then it may be more diffiult to explain

If shirt fibers from the victims shirt are on JJ's shoe, he's screwed IMO

I watched CSI the last few weeks. The DNA swab will prove that there are many close relatives in Destrehan.

Thank the good lord he is not from Arkansas, then he would match about 80% of the population.
