Verne's statement still makes me cringe. They replayed in on the SECCG pregame show.

Just goes to show that the general media will never let CLM live it down. it will follow him around, like a dark cloud, forever. It was colossal ignorance, especially when Verne himself realized it in real-time. It's not like Verne waited a week later to say, "Well, if it had been me, I'd have...." No, in real-time he was shocked at CLM's stupidity. I was too.

Miles can live it down. It won't be easy but to be fair, he has his shot next year. But not much beyond.

No, he cannot.

Once he's canned next year, no reputable school will hire him as a head coach.

If Miles can win the SEC next year and stay in the national conversation, nobody will care about the Ole Miss game.

It probably won't happen but this is what he needs to do.

I agree.

But you and I both know this won't happen.

Like we don't care about the UAB game?

Like we don't still talk about UT 2005 and UK 2007?

Les Miles could win the NC for the next 6 straight years, and as they were about to kick off for his 7th appearance, they would show the Ole Miss finish again. Its great TV because he looks like a giant douche. Its the sports equivalent of Jersey Shore.

Sorry, but as long as Miles is coach here we will not beat Florida, Bama, or Ole Miss...as long as they keep their respective coaches..

And you have a very reasonable view. Intensity is NOT there.
Skip gave the man a powerball ticket on the false pretense that Miles was going to MI.
Too bad, it was not given to Saban to stay away from the Pros.

misinformed. Skip had NOTHING to do with the contract, it was all John Lombardi. He offered before Michigan.
