I think it’s way too early to hit the panic button, but I do think adjustments need to be made.

Do you give the freshman more ABs and work through the ups and downs that comes with that? Or do you stick to the guys that have seen SEC pitching?

A few items I’d line to see.

1. Stick with Bingham in CF, deal with the loss of defense for now.

2. Let Milam battle through his slump. His defense is superior and he seems to have an “it” factor.

3. Let the freshman OF get some run. I’d like to see Brown and Larson get time.

4. I’d like to see Millazo playing more, he’s a senior leader that keeps the team in check.

5. Move Hurd to the pen and let Anderson handle the Sunday role.

6. Cut down to a handful of bullpen arms that we trust on the weekends.

Can we get some RH hitting and pitching to magically appear?

Yes, the kid can play. He should always be in the lineup.

Kling, I've seen enough for now, let him sit and think about it for a while.

I think I will watch it on a different feed next time. I used the FUBO interface yesterday.

I'll go back to the ESPN app this week.

I believe thats the problem with the team right now.

The glaring issue for the baseball team is not having runners on base. This weekend:

Bingham (.285) 3 RBI/ 1 BB/ 2 K/ 0 LOB

White (.083) 0 RBI/ 3 BB/ 1 K/ 5 LOB

Jones (.181) 2 RBI/ 1 BB/ 3 K/ 1 LOB

Travinski (.300) 1 RBI/ 3 BB/ 2 K/ 0 LOB

Solo HRs:
Bingham (1)
Jones (2)
Travinski (1)

4 of the 6 RBIs from the top 4 batters came via solo HR. We need runners on base!!!

There are entirely too many 1 and 2 pitch outs lately. I have no concerns over the pitching.

Time for a little let’s play whoever is hot at the moment. Gonna be one of those seasons where someone unexpected is going to emerge.

Guidry has looked awful at the plate every time they've tried to give him a shot. He's also been focused on pitching for a while now, so just throwing him out there mid-season without even taking BP is probably not the best idea.

From your list, it looks like you are panicking.

Jay is a great coach. He knows more baseball than I do. Put yourself in that bucket, too.

I would like to see more of Frey. Don't know when he will be able to play in the field due to his injury. Hoping he can play right field some soon.

Kling needs to sit some and try to get his hitting figured out.

Good analysis in your post but I see this as a very fine line CJJ is having to deal with.

Imo, after watching every single game, I think our batters are better when they are attacking early in the counts. Similar to what Miss State did to us two weekends ago. I like it better when our guys are swinging away.

But, nobody likes first pitch outs that come as a result of being in an attack mindset. A few weeks back CJJ voiced his displeasure with so many first pitch outs and you could see the players trying to take more pitches. But the results didn't get any better.

I say let dudes attack the baseball whenever they get a decent pitch and see if they can break out of their slump.

Bingham is a bad center fielder. While he's doing better at the plate than Kling, it isn't a huge gap. Bingham and Kling have similar stats in Runs, RBIs, OB%. Kling is a liability at the plate and Bingham is a liability in CF. The best case is that Brown gets healthy and can play CF.

Get real! Braswell is the least of this team’s problems.

7. Let the head coach figure it out.

Do you have a stat breakdown since SEC play started? Genuinely curious how those line up when pre-SEC stats are removed.

I wish short was the issue but it is not. Outfield doesn’t hit.

Let your pitchers stay a little longer if they are doing fine. We don't know what we get out of bull pin. Guidry might have won game for us on Saturday.
