What About Basketball Prospects This Year?

I saw that Wayde Sims (son of Dale Brown-era Wayne Sims) is a freshman on this year's team. Will we make the NCAA this year?

Highly unlikely they make the tournament but they'll be much better than most think. Won't be surprised if they finish .500 in conference.

I see them finishing two games below .500 overall and Johnny being fired. I think Johnny's lost the team especially after last year's Ben Simmons and the boys debacle.

You really never realize how much the whole football/baseball school thing applies to LSU until you see things like this

. For a university with our historical, current, and future traditions, it is crazy the program is where it is. To me it more speaks to the state and the level of interest/knowledge about the game itself.

well with the general dislike of the basketball program's direction on this board, most will say they'll be awful.
Just a guess but I think they surprise and are better than expected. not NCAA tourney worthy but NIT probably, which they'll take this season.
And by no means am I a sunshine pumper. Still very upset about last year, probably always will be but just a gut feeling that they will surprise.
