Actually there is no reference to a won/loss record in the CFP selection protocol so it’s only your assumption that their respective records are the only criteria to determine comparable.
I never said it’s the only criteria, but if they are going to reference comparability and then give subsequent criteria for differentiation that don’t include W/L record, it stands to reason that the game outcomes are of primary consideration (as opposed to being merely a differentiating factor).
Unless you’re willing to argue that wins and losses are irrelevant except as they relate to the differentiating criteria.

It’s funny to think about it. Most of the ppl butthurt that BAMA jumped FSU would be the same one’s cheering a mid-season jump of a winning team if the team doing the jumping played a much better game than the other team that won but was jumped.

You realize that the “circumstances” referenced are 100% talking about the records of the two teams and that makes records a part of the selection protocol, right????

You sure about that? I mean 100% is generally understood to mean all. Last I checked it 100.0000000001% would exceed total possible amount. Or do we have a new standard where we’re it takes more than a 100% to signify everything?

Sigh
I didn’t state “100% of the circumstances referenced are…the records…”
I stated that “the circumstances referenced are 100% (as in “100% likely to include”…a “given”) talking about the records…”
You’re clearly trolling, so I’m done answering anything this dumb in subsequent posts, but felt obliged to clarify.

Oh before I forget. FSU beat 2 ranked teams. LSU and Louisville. Louisville beat only 1 ranked team #20 Duke. BAMA beat 4 ranked teams. They beat the last one who happened to be #1 the day before they were selected over FSU due to their lackluster performance against Louisville.
Just the facts…

Lot of Participation trophy adults down voting.
What part of fsu played zero acc teams during the regular season with 3 losses or less do those short bus people not realize? Every acc opponent they played during regular season had 4 losses or more.

You know football far more than the naysayers who responded to your all too true comment. It's Dec 30, 2023 and currently watching Georgia crush ego-driven FSU and it's only the 2nd quarter. What a waste of Florida taxpayer money Florida politicians spent trying to get this team to play for the national championship. FSU may be the best in Florida but that's not saying much! LOL!
