No. 1 is a two layer metal piece that was never used as an LSU logo – just something marketed by LSU
No. 2 has been around a while – popular in the 60’s+
No. 3 is what you get when you out-source your logo design to Himalayan hermits.

The Tiger head in #2 is actually the original head that was used on the helmets back in the early 70's when Bert Jones was playing. (That Tiger Head in a purple circle with a curved yellow LSU below it) It has a lot more definition and actually looks like a real Tiger Head, unlike the current garbled mess of purple, gold and white that looks somewhat like a Tiger head.
