I thought LSU got robbed by the officials on Saturday, not just on the interception call, but generally.

But doesn't Bama always get all the questionable calls no matter who they are playing? I have never, ever in my 40+ years of watching SEC football seen a single such call that went against them

It was funny listening to the announcers talk about how key the penalty imbalance in Bama's favor had been to their win over Tennessee and how that seemed to be repeating itself against LSU.

Not sure it necessarily decided the game, though....and I am not going to weep over the outcome--I am an Ole Miss fan, after all --still thought it was worth commenting on, though....

The SEC "non-darlings" need to rise up against this shite.

We put ourselves in a position for it to matter, but injuries probably cost us the game. If Peterson is in, Julio doesn't score. Jefferson was playing well, also. But it is disheartening all the close calls that went BAMA's way.

First of all...1960.

Secondly, no...I don't recall BAMA ever being on the arse end of a bad call when they were in a big game and couldn't offord having he call go against them.

Thirdly...this call, much like the 2006 waved PI flag we saw on The Plain against AU did not directly cost LSU the game. But like 2006, it cost LSU a legitimate shot to have a chance at a win. Neither play prevent an immediate score or pulled points off the board...but they both kept LSU from commencing a potential go ahead drive with little time left for the home team to come back.

Fourthly...1960.

All of this reminds me of the 2000 LSU-Bama game in Tiger Stadium. This was before replay so it didn't factor in, even thou we tryed to force the refs to use it. Bama was punting the ball and a tide player ran into the return man before he could catch it. The ball bounced away from the pile and LSU recovered. The refs actually picked up the flag for catch interference and awarded the ball to Bama inside the LSU 5. The stadium and LSU players were going insane with anger. All the while a few LSU players were trying to get the refs to look at the video screens, which they wouldn't. Now they eventually changed it to the right call. But this is the kind of shite they tryed to pull off in our own stadium. I think they realized that if they had went thru with it a few of them wouldn't have made it out of BR alive.

Honest Reb. It helps. Thanks.

Anybody with a decent respect for what honest competition and the game means, should be outraged; and we should stand together. This can not be allowed; to ruin one of the - increasingly fewer - simple and affordable joys, that we have left..is abominable.

I was at that game and would be in prison today if that play had stood the way the ref's wanted it to.

I would not have been alone.

I think a few hundred would have joined me in the rout.

yep i remember that game and Saban threw his headset and every vein in his neck was protruding because of that call. I think it was Ryan Clark who got the ref to look at the video and reverse the call.
