I looked at the AU message board and this one, and oddly enough, there is no real "bravado" being spewed. Seems that neither fanbase is real confident in their team heading into the weekend. Personally, I think LSU puts the smackdown on AU this year....refs or no refs. I guess neither fanbase is sure of what they have this year. Very unusual, as it seems there is usually a bunch of shite talking going on at this point.....

The thing is LSU has more to show than Auburn. Auburn 's offense has struggled mightily against defenses inferior to LSU's.

LSU can at least claim production and big play ability on offense, and the ability to open up the play book by 2/3rds or more. Auburn not so much.

Yeah...but as history has shown...you can throw that shite right out the window. This game, regardless of how good either team is playing, is always a slugfest.

Rump, it is a weird Auburn week. They're usually over here in very high numbers talking lots of smack. This year - not so much.

LSU hasnt played anyone worth a crap yet. Your QB cant read a secondary. He will throw some INTs to our def. Dont toot your horn so loud just yet. you guys are only a 3pt fav. Remember that its our house, night game, our refs, and a D that you guys havent been up against yet this year. I agree with the three point spread but it should have been in our favor. We put up two for Moo St.

Who have the plainsladies played? That 3-2 win over Miss. State was entertaining...for us. We laughed at your pathetic play against them.
Now, which refs are in your starting line-up this year?

Wait...........

Pot meet kettle. At least we beat the hell our of our "nobodies" and at the same time worked through the depth chart to get reps in. Auburn battled to the death to take a 3 to 2 win against a Miss State team who lost to La Tech.

I agree that we haven't faced a defense yet, and our QB's will face some heavy pressure for the first time. I'm anxious to see what Crowton will have in store for our offense. With that said, Auburn's QB's face the same dilemna. Hell, not only can they not read defenses...it appears they can't even read their offense.

BTW - Thanks Tidehater. I was missing our traditional yearly banter.

Oh, and Auburn!

I think our experienced offensive line will hold up well against their defense and wear them down. Our defense against their offense is going to be the interesting part of this game.

What I find interesting is how "good" App State was supposed to be until we handed their asses to them. Now they are suddenly shite. We could have rolled both teams worse than we did but Miles turned them into scrimmages after mid-3rd qtr.

I like how AU hypes up their D, but remember we have to play our own D in practice. So it's not like they haven't lined up against a tough D.

our refs

That frikkin umpire was standing 5 yds back with his eyes glued to Dorsey to make sure Chazz & Ziemba chopped him bad enough ... Tubs ordered it after he got the okay from the refs : "C'mon fellas that #72 is manhandling my kids you just gotta let me take him out" (it doesnt have to be in JH, even in TS thats the Auburn Way)

I had several Auburn fans tell me they were going to the game but expected LSU to kill Auburn...that's one thing about Bama fans, they could be playing at USC this weekend and most of them would be predicting a Tide win.

We beat Moo St. by 48-0 last year. Even if you take out the good players we lost, we still out talent you Aubbie's by a ton at the skill positions.

Auburn's just not very high right now because of the ineptitudes of the spread eagle offense Tony Franklin is running. I wouldn't count them out, but y'all should handle them mightily.
