Keep squibbing the ball! I'll give up at the 30 every time if it forces a linebacker to catch/recover the ball. We'll eventually get one as well.

I remember when we had good ST play when Jacob Hester was there making the play almost every time. Can we not find someone on the team or in the band that enjoys knocking somebody's head off?

Serious question and it may already be asked somewhere in the rant, but what happened to the African American kicker, Gamble, who is a scholarship kicker that was so highly touted? As I recall, he has kicked off 1 time, in the Wisconsin opener last year in Houston. We inexplicably got a 5 yard delay of game penalty, which required him to kick off from the 30 yard line as opposed to the 35. He promptly booted it for a touchback, and out almost out of the end zone. To my knowledge, that has been his only kick. So why is he not given a shot on kick offs. If we're having to rely on pooch kicks where the receiving team is guaranteed getting the ball between the 35 and 40 yard line, we're putting our defense in a very tough position. Certainly the SC returner who ran the K/O back for a TD is not the type of returner where we would be so scared of his return ability to resort to the pooch kick! Any comments!

correction. Just looked at his bio and apparently he has kicked off more than I realized (I think he changed jersey numbers - may have caused my confusion) But the question remains, why is he not our kickoff guy?
