Exactly where have you seen them play this? Which game against a quality opponent? The last three gave us problems at times - see tied scores at half time. We are not capable of hanging with the Gumps for 4 quarters. It will take a perfect game by LSU or the Gumps will need to implode ala Ole Miss 2015.

Currently, for all of 2016:
104th yds/game
71st rating
59th yds/att
55th comp%

That's stand alone in a vacuum. OM is what great passing + nothing else gets you. Also with BH6 and/or Miles.

Since CEO/CSE took over...

232 yds/game, **all +200 yds btw** (would be: 66th)
163.8 avg rating (would be: 9th)
9.2 yds/att (would be: 12th)
64.4% comp% (would be: 18th) **just ahead of Clemson**

Yes, pretty bad defenses. But when talking national rankings, they all have some crap D's in there.

I have yet to see LSU play anywhere close to a perfect game. One of their best performances ever was a now-forgotton 23-3 win over USC in 1984, and even in that game the Tigers made a couple of glaring mistakes.

Of we bring our a game we win. We do have a margin for error against them. Talent and depth of both teams is about equal. We have an advantage with better backs and a better defensive backfield. They're better on the offensive line. Our offensive line needs to play at a high level to win. But we don't need to be perfect. They aren't better than us.

Go look at the second half of the OM game when Aranda told them to trust one another and play together as one. This is the football team you will see Saturday night against bama, but for an entire game. If I can see how different the two halts were then they can and they know what they did different and that's how they will play Saturday. It's our best shot and I think we dominate bama's offense. The QB we just played is far and above what we will see Saturday so it's going to be up to the offense to execute, make plays and open holes for LSU to win this game. We could win convincingly? It could very well happen. We have a smart QB that is tough and knows what kind of decisions to make and when to make em and when not to. The OL will have to play its best game but so will the entire offense and if we do that we win big. If not then it's a close game. GT

"Win" without a near perfect game? Nope.

If we beat one of their best teams ever in 2011 in Tuscaloosa without a perfect game (we had two interceptions in that one), then we could win at home without a perfect game. But they do need to play a great game and not give up defensive points to Bama.

We need matched or more focused intensity on offense and ST and defense like the second half of OM. We do that we win period end of story. If we don't win it will be very close and we would have had to really effed up in TOs or penalties. Any team in the SEC can beat you with these two factors going against you. If we are equal there and in focused intensity on offense and ST and play D like the OM second half we will win this game. No doubt in my mind

I don't see why people say this is Saban's best team. He is starting a true FR QB that struggles to hit the medium to long pass. We are winning this game.

LSU really only needs to play smart and have at least matched intensity to win. We have the skill guys in all phases to match them and even beat them in some areas so we should win this game if we play smart FB. Everyone saying bama is this impossible mountain to move are just mind bent from Les Miles. Sad but true

I wish people would stop saying "we need to play the perfect game and we might have a chance to win." This was only true for a Les Miles coached team because his play calling was too predictable and the Bama D could focus all their efforts on one man. Re-watch the game last year. The very first offensive play is an I formation. LSU has 6 guys on the line, the fullback burst up the middle and Fournette runs to sideline for the sweep. Bama's D has 7 guys on the line...#24, a DB(?) who should be on the far side hash moves to the middle and spys Fournette and tackles him for a meager 2 yard gain at the near sideline....he had to run across the field to make the tackle....LSU had one wideout on the nearside....a good fake to Fournette and a short throw to the far side with a speedy Chark would have taken advantage of #24's eagerness to stop Fournette....

LSU's offense was so easy to scheme last year....this year won't be so easy....running and passing lanes will be exploited...Etling and Fournette will light them up.....

seriously, take off the crimson glasses for a little bit...Bama is not invincible.....

I think this Bama team, while they are good, is hardly unbeatable. It's not as dominant as 2008, 2009 or even the 2011 unit LSU beat on the road.
