It'll be our highest preseason ranking since '12. I think we go 10-2 and go new year's 6. But then again I said that about this season.

Great, we were mid season No. 2 and then started lining up against teams that were closer to our own talent level and went 0-3.

Whether we know better or not, regardless LSU will be a top rated team entering the season.
Most of the talent on the team returns as Juniors. They have the best player in the nation, now in his junior season with a junior qb as well.
The schedule is actually quite favorable given what the rest of the league is losing and what LSU is returning. Have to get past Wisconsin, which I believe we should given our history with opening games like this.
I am in no way saying we will make the playoffs, but LSU is set up to be a special team next season.

Wasn't LSU preseason #13? I wouldn't necessarily call that over-hyped, because that's close to where they will end up.
