It has been quite some time since our championship hopes have been, effectively, over before October. It has been even longer since we've fired our head football coach. The remainder of this season is a rare chance for us to enjoy the games, without dealing with the full pressure of living up to what it means to be an LSU (championship or bust) team. At the same time, the fanbase should be more united now than we have been since around the 2003 season.

In other words, the remainder of this season should be about as stress-free as one could be - and we should embrace that.

While the coaching search is taking place, and the future of LSU football hangs in the balance (that sounds dramatic, doesn't it?), I'm looking forward to really enjoying the rest of this year (and, hopefully, many more wins).

Who's with me?

Will be a lot of fun to watch from here on out. No expectations, every game a mystery.

Why no expectations? Did we lose all that elite talent today?

It's definitely a weird feeling. We have our worst start in over a decade and I'm sitting here all like

It is definitely an unusual sensation to feel this excited, after such a disappointing start to the season.
