Why is everyone freaking out? The number 8 team in the country regularly beats the number 25 team in the country. The sky isn’t falling, relax!

It’s been discussed. There are a number of smaller things that are still concerning that aren’t just because we lost to Tennessee.

Right, I believe is just the WAY we underperformed with miscues, special teams snafus, slow starts, struggling Offense, etc. that is a weekly recurring theme is what we are concerned. That said look forward to beating Gators Sat!

No one said a loss to a better team was unacceptable.

The way we lost is the problem.

Looked like a group of 5 school out there.

You watch that game? This was way more than a loss. This was an arse pounding by Tennessee, while shooting ourselves in the foot.

Multiple reasons:
1.) Special teams were still atrocious
2.) Running game was still atrocious
3.) Both the running game and passing appeared (I’m not a coach nor an expert so emphasis on appeared) to be extremely predictable and unimaginative
4.) The passing game appeared (see above) to have no easy completions to wr’s built into the offense. I can’t remember a bubble or tunnel screen. UT seemed to run them on early downs routinely and we’re picking up 4-8 yards on either first or second down.
5.) We looked like we didn’t belong

Watching the team walk down the hill Sat they looked flat as could be. Granted, lots of time to wake up but they didn’t. Came out flat and stayed there.

It’s like they believe this is the best they can do and there’s no coaching them up. CBK needs to quit with the ‘we have to coach better’ BS. What’s he getting paid to do if he’s not at least coaching them well? Is his heart in it? Except for a couple hundred yards of non productive offense there weren’t any bright spots Sat.

All of this. 6 games in this team seems to be getting worse. Or at least showing minimal improvement (though the defense did improve following the FSU game...only to get shredding again in the last two). The offense was just as ineffective as it has been all season. With seemingly no change in the approach that hasn't been working. LSU was physically dominated. Particularly at the LOS...on both sides of the ball.

That LSU lost to Tennessee was not wholly unexpected. That LSU looked like they didn't belong on the field with them from literally the first play on was not. That's not to say the Tennessee game won't be the watershed moment like the Kentucky game last year that forced LSU to change its approach, resulting in noticeably better play. But all of the concerns/questions that were there coming in to the Tenn. game manifest in a complete arse-kicking.

If Kelly and co. care about THIS season, he is going to have to make some adjustments to his approach for THIS team in order to win a few more games. If not, LSU will slog through the rest of the schedule in hopes this year's failed approach will become better next year with a season of experience.

“BuT iT’s HOW wE LoSt!!!!”

The only acceptable loss to rantards is the kind of loss where we still score more points than the other team. I get that this fanbase is scarred by Les Miles, but I highly, highly doubt that Kelly came here to stick to Daniels for 2 years en route to a shitshow team that gets blown out over and over. It’s just not going to happen

You say that, but what has he done to show improvement? Yeah I’m sure Kelly doesn’t want to get blown out either, nobody does. You saying “it’s not going to happen” doesn’t mean anything.

It really is sad to watch some of you soft boys freak out during a rebuilding year. I believe multiple other people (aka realistic tiger fans) have already posted the first year records of all the current NC winning coaches. Does special teams suck? Yea! Does Daniels leave a lot to be desired at a passer? For sure! Is our running game poo? You bet ya! Rome wasn’t built in a day. Calm down!

From a previous thread.

The drinking game lives on!

You could make a rant drinking game.

I'll start:

MUH SABAN ULM
MUH SABAN 6-6
other coaches records
$100m or $10m/year so shut up
Completion percentage.
300yds!

Are you in the coaches meetings or something I’m not aware of? Panicking like a manic rantard and pulling JD 2 games into SEC slate doesn’t seem like an adult’s style. Maybe BK actually has a plan that he’s sticking to? I know that’s foreign to most of the emotional college aged losers who hang out on this forum but it is something that successful people do in the real world.

ETA: and just to be clear, I think JD is awful, will not improve, and we’ll ultimately need to try Nuss, but to act like BK hasn’t “””shown improvement”””, whatever that means, because he hasn’t completely panicked and flipped everything 180 degrees is idiotic

Ok? And neither do your words, prick

Bc we have looked like absolute shite in every single game vs a P5 team until the second half.

We are not a well coached football team. That's why.

My concern is that CBK let getting behind change the game plan. Yep, shite happens and you down 10-0.... but take the pts, don't force 4th down attempts when you're not even great at 1st, 2nd or 3rd down attempts.

Wait you think JD is terrible and that we NEED to try Nuss, but call a previous poster a manic rant retard for calling for the same thing?

How do you square that?

What you meant to say is

“Why is everyone freaking out? It’s year one of a rebuild and that’s going to be ugly sometimes. If this were year 3, then freak out.”
