Russ Johnson was as important as Todd Walker was back in the 90s - he rarely gets any mention these days. Clutch player at the time.

But you keep saying "who remembers" like it was a long time ago. Those guys were within the past 10 years or so lol

Im playing to my audience. If I would have mentioned Sirotka running shite for two seasons or my all-time favorite, Hymel crushing homers in the CWS, I doubt people would remember.

Who do you remember? Laxton breaking records as a freshman? Greene closing games out?

I'll never forget watching Matt Clark leave the entire stadium during BP in Omaha. The guy could hit the ball farther than anyone.

Ray Wright keeping us in striking distance with one of the best catches that you will ever see. So many spoiled, entitled, uninformed "fans" who will never ever get it.

Joey (Albert) Belle, against whom I played Legion ball in high school. He still has the longest home ever at Griffith Stadium (Minden). He could be a serious head case though...

Brad Hawpe, Ray Wright, and Ryan Theriot were my favorite... Other than of course my all time favorite and that's Wally.

Solid

I'd add JC Holt, Jon Zeringue, Blair Barbier, Bregman (call me crazy, but I feel like he was sort of underappreciated by fans), and the Baylor coach lady

I hear you, how about the often unsung 1989/90 team that led us to becoming elite. What a great chemistry - here's a short list: Jason Wall, Mike Sirotka, Paul Byrd, Wes Grisham, Rich Cordani, Kyle Mall, Lyle Mouton, Gary Hymel, Keith Osaka, Juan tellechea, Luis Garcia, Ron Lim, Tim Clark, Scot Bethea....

I'll remember more later, but was my favorite group.

Adrian Antonini (spelling?) was always a favorite of mine. That shot of him in the dugout pouring out emotion during the 93 CWS semi against LBSU has always stuck with me.
