Golden Triangle Regional airport is between Starkville, West Point and Columbus and is the closest place to land. Still has a Delta Connections schedule I believe although mostly used for charter and general aviation.

Maybe it's because I'm half asleep, but the tooth fairy one doesn't make sense. Wouldn't the joke be that the tooth fairy is the busiest guy in town because all of their teeth have fallen out?

Well, it's a simple thing. The fact that so many people lose all their teeth in Mississippi is not because of bad luck or genetics, it's due to their lack of funds to pay a dentist to fix the teeth BEFORE they fall out.
