We had a couple unfortunate things happen this summer (LMFAO, Valentine), BUT...

Guys, it can ALWAYS get worse.
This happened all in 1 day for Arkansas basketball:
Their #1 recruit (PF), Top 50 overall player, failed to qualify
Kapita was expected to come in and fill the shoes of departed Bobby Portis. So with him gone long time rotation player Jacorey Williams was expected to start in his place, EXCEPT:
3 Arkansas Basketball Players arrested on Forgery Charges
Literally THE SAME DAY Kapita was denied academically their best guard (starting PG) Anton Beard gets 9 counts felony first degree forgery and 2 other guys, including Jacorey Williams, are involved and suspended indefinitely. Looks like Beard is done for good.
So Arkansas basketball lost 4 starters to the draft and graduation from last season.
Now also lost their #1 recruit in their 2-man recruiting class.
Lost their transfer (who didnt look like he would play this year anyways).
Lost their starting replacement for the guy who was supposed to come in a start at PF.
Lost their best guard who was going to be a starter.
Kind of makes you appreciate losing "just" a couple backups, their basketball team is almost completely decimated for next season now.

This leaves them with 4 bigs on the team for next yeaR:
6'10, 230 JR. Moses Kingsley - 10.9 min, 3.6 pts, 2.5 reb last season (high upside though)
6'10, 230 SR. Willy Kouassi - 19.3 min, 4.6 pts, 5.0 reb last season (with Kennesaw State)
6'7, 212 SR. Keaton Miles - 3.0 min, 0.4 pts, 0.4 reb last season (bench rider)
6'9, 260 SO. Trey Thompson - 2.4 min, 0.4 pts, 0.4 reb last season (was just a freshman, but basically bench rider)
That is a scary bad front court, especially if Kingsley cant make a serious leap forward. they have nobody who can score.

I can't remember a worse two weeks than the two weeks before the start of the 2011 season. Speedy's; Lost Chris Faulk for the season; Kragthorpe diagnosed with Parkinson's and Stud moved to OC at the last minute; Willie Lyles; and we got slapped for the Akiem Hicks thing. And we all remember what happened after that.
