Still no answer on a match. Your concern is valid.
FSU just gave Jimbo a big raise and contract extension in January 2015
I highly doubt they want to keep upping the anti...11 months later
at some point the attitude of any organization is "If you want to go to LSU, then go"

So what's going on up in here? The OP doesn't say shite.

Peveto's hiring reminds me of how head coaches imperil their own future. I think of Mora with Smith, Dinardo with Tepper, Payton with Ryan. Well you know where I am going. But Les had more than Peveto. Although it may have been because they knew Les future was about to come to an end.

This thread is incredibly entertaining. It took me 30 minutes to go through all the posts. Thanks DALSU- very interesting info

Has a national championship winning coach ever left that school (on his own terms) to coach at a different school?
Nick Saban!...but while he was traveling between schools he coached an NFL team

i like you. this hg guy needs to be put down.

Not Kelly! The other fell into our lap. Kind of like when Sexton called on Saban's behalf to LSU in 1999. As for the rest of the story stay tuned. It will all clear up in time. Didn't happen the way everyone thinks. Sometimes when you are 50/50 on something and bird lands in the bush, you have to grab it when you have the opportunity.

Why is the FSU side so quiet?
FSU's fan base is very lackadaisical. The following outside of the immediate area of Tallahassee or north Florida isn't great. They don't have the fan enthusiasm that sec schools generate and combine that with their winning history they are spoiled on top of that.
Until recently their football facilities were what LSU's were prior to 2000. They don't have an indoor facility and their weight room is shared with all other sports. It's built into the stadium like the old one is and might be a bit smaller.
FSU until recently was a lot like Miami. They won on great coaching/player development and recruiting. Because they were so good at those things pouring money into the program wasn't necessary. They reacted when Jimbo came and slowly started spending some money.

I am very excited about these developments, big changes, new energy that is needed to keep the Golden Era of Tiger football alive and well
Even though my support for Miles was mailed in during the Arkansas game...as I reflect on our 11 years and everything I know about Les Miles, man, I love coach Miles. He is CFB Icon, everyone likes Coach Miles... sure he says funny stuff, but he is a gentlemen in every way.
I love that he is genuine with everyone who comes in contact with him and like us, he loves the Tigers.
I think LSU became more than just a job to him...what fan doesn't love that?
And with that, If I could, I'd like to shake his hand and give him a Man's hug and say thank you coach, "all the best to you and your family"..
and I sincerely hope coach isn't severely sick, dang, I will be very upset if that is the case... we will find out a lot more in the coming days
Happy Thanksgiving

Have no problem with DALSU, unless what he seems to reinforce/imply is accurate.
Do not see HC DC implications as 'home run', particularly considering $$$$$ involved.
Now if from NFL, different story.
Make no mistake, have never been pro Miles, especially as replacement for the previous guy. But cheap imitation of the past (my opinion) will not achieve 'elite' results.

They talking pretty bad about LSU fans on the Seminoles site.

I'm very concerned about the Sexton play for money and this not coming to fruition! Miles leaves, Jimbo stays and we're left have to freakin hire Hal Mumme or some other arse clown
