How about you look at Kelly's overall record? How about you look at how he usually does in year 1 during a rebuild of past schools. Look at how he made adjustments at ND when staff or other things weren't working out.
Yet you take the "historical data" and make a general conclusion when you know the talent level gap was much larger at ND. You act like you're being so objective yet exclude all obvious factors of why certain big games did not go his way. This board is laughable.

ND has no conference schedule and half their year to year opponents are service academies. I think I’m right to judge his true ability based on “big games” and not 40 point beat downs of army.

When you coach at a place with many advantages like ND you’re going to back your way into some decent wins.
You just continue to hurl insults to make yourself feel better. Bend the knee and make every excuse for someone making 100 million dollars to put that garbage on the field last night.
Also, I don’t care about what idiotic opinion you have about anything so no need to elaborate because it’s falling on deaf ears/eyes. You have no ability to have a discussion, just call people clowns

please elaborate on how ND had so many more advantages than the teams I named that they beat. It's notoriously hard to get in to ND because of academic requirements, especially compared to places like LSU. The fact that you continue to try and harp on a few losses where they were significantly out manned in terms of talent and downplay every other aspect of Kelly's success as a coach tells me all I need to know about you. You don't have a clue and/or you just don't like the guy for whatever reason. quote:

He is getting paid $100MM to rebuild this program. Do you think rebuilds are for teams that are doing well? Again, what did I say before? Go look at his record of turning teams around and making them successful once again. He has proven he can do this it just takes more than one game. You just don't like him or are too impatient.

There are multiple instances of Weiss and Kelly making sure accommodations were made for a elite recruit that was fringe on the ND academics, that’s a farce you Kelly apologists continue to preach

If you actually had reading comprehension skills you would see that I FACTUALLY proved your assertion wrong that Kelly chokes in all big games by giving you a list, that included lsu, that he beat while at ND with lesser talent in most cases. You trying to act like ND has an advantage over lsu or any of those other schools academically is laughable at best and just downright sad at worst.

Again I gave you a LIST, (that means more than one in case you didn't know that) which included lsu, of signature wins he had at ND. You chose to select one team from that list. The FACT is yeah he lost some big games and he won some, just like most coaches. Hanging your hat on the losses to try and make yourself right while ignoring the wins or trying to downplay them just makes it look like you have some axe to grind with Kelly for whatever reason.
I never said Kelly is guaranteed success here or that I know he is the best coach in the country. Nothing of the sort. I simply refuted your claim, with facts, that Kelly chokes in big games, and you can't seem to accept it.
