Anything different is welcome, plus fakes are more effective with this play/set.

Jet sweep is a good way to keep the containment honest. It can open holes off tackle and can force LBs to widen out. Gotta actually threaten and run it a few times though.

I always thought a simple jet motion against Bama would've helped slow down the LB/DE penetration, but who am I.

I think we ran more times in the first half of the spring game than we did all of last year.

I completely agree. Our opponents, particularly those with equal/near equal talent, certainly do not want to see an LSU offense with heavy doses of misdirection and creativity.

Good. With LSUs combo of speed and power, you gotta make the defense respect sideline to sideline. If you just run "between the tackles," it makes the front 7s jobs easy. Even the off-tackle plays seemed to develop from a power formation that required the O-line and WRs to block exceptionally well on the perimeter.

Throwing it in there 1 (2 if lucky) times a game did nothing but help the defenses we faced. Scouting told them "well, they got that out of their system... don't have to worry about that one again"

Fake it constantly, run wide several times, then hand off between tackles or throw off it the rest of time. That'll keep 'em guessing, if not honest. Prevent that relentless crashing teams like Bama feel oh so comfortable doing.

There are no college offenses with creativity. Once you've seen Canada's offense youll see tendencies there too. The difference is that Canada will gane plan around our players' strengths rather than trying to fit our players into a rigid scheme.

I hope you're right. All I envision at the moment is SEC defenses overpowering our line and blowing up these with the quickness. I love the concept, but I'm not overly optimistic yet.

I saw Canada splitting out F.Moreau in the slot so that he has a big blocker out wide on those jet sweeps. Must be why he likes R. Gage over D.Dillon too for blocking on the edge

Anyone remember the Saints winning the Super Bowl back in the gap? That year the offense ran those fake jet sweeps w/ a hand off or even sometimes would throw in double play action? It was a brilliant play design by Payton. For some reason this is what I imagine happening under Canada. The only reason question is if our guys can execute.

I was saying the same thing when their safeties were pushing up every play into the box before the ball was snapped.

It may have just kept them from standing in the holes before the ball was snapped. They may have had to at least stand back and move to the hole AFTER the ball was snapped, instead of lining up in the gaps.
