The game on Saturday had so many people talking about 40 yard dash times and 4.this and 4.that and sub 4.4 blah blah blah

But let's discuss this

Who is / was the fastest LSU football player ever?

quote:

Holliday had self-reported running times as fast as 4.21, which seemed plausible given his extensive track background, and the fastest 100 m dash time of any football player in NCAA history. At the combine, reports of Holliday's 40-yard dash time ranged from between 4.18 seconds and 4.34 seconds.

I think Xavier Carter was faster. Could be wrong.

Plumlee could run with anyone in a game that’s all I know.

I don’t know but he had the most returns for a TD where you knew he was gone before he crossed the 30

I just looked it up. Trindon has better 60m time. They have the same personal best at 100m. Xavier Carter has the better 200m time.

Conclusion: Trindon was a fast starter, but Xavier had better top-end speed.

ETA: Bennie Brazell was also fast but his times weren't as good as Trindon or Xavier Carter.

Trindon was the fastest that I've seen in Tiger Stadium..

And he was short and couldn't be seen. So, not only was he fast.
He was invisible too!

No. Xavier was fast, but not faster. People don’t realize, although Bennie was fast, he was a hurdle guy not a 100m guy.

Xavier Carter ... I haven’t heard that name in a looooong time. Great pull. Maybe the fastest. Ludicrous speed.

But I’ll always remember him most for kneeling at the 1

I played against Trindon in high school. I was a DB and his team ran a pitch to my side. I was pretty good and pretty fast. I took the wrong angle and before I could even turn around he was 20 yards past me

He kinda was, though. Slower starter but faster top-end speed. Not that that helped him in football. Dude had bricks for hands.

Xavier and Brazell were on NCAA 05 and 06 together

It was so unfair to have JR at QB and just chuck it deep to those guys

Kennison ran 4.28 and 4.32 at his pro day. Not sure if he ran the 40 at the combine.
Orlando McDaniel could fly too
