Loss. Call a timeout to draw up a Josh Gray penetration play with 5 5 to go on the shot clock. Absolutely terrible.

The team will not play that hard the rest of the season. Its like beating Bama all game and losing in the end.

Pretty sure it comes down to W-L. I'm not familiar with the MV or FOL stats. Having said that, LSU played hard from wire to wire and had a shot at pulling the upset at the end. They could have folded and did not. Hats off to our Tigers.

Given that only one of the two choices exists, it can only be the one that exists.

Yep. Honestly, that play deserves its own thread. It's become worse than a joke how bad we are coming out of timeouts into an inbounds play. Not having even one set inbounds play that is designed to spring somebody for a shot is absolutely inexcusable for a junior high school team, let alone a college team.

The day LSU plays for moral victories in any sport is the day you can say for sure "the decline is real".

So let me get this straight we lost in the last 16 seconds by 2 points to a team that's last two recruiting classes signed 10 five stars out of 12 and we suck and our coaches suck? Sometimes I really can't stand some LSU fans. And some of these same fans say if we don't make the final 4 next year it's a bust after signing only 2-3 5 stars?. F'ing unrealistic idiots. IDIOTS!

Way to have no ability to judge the last five minutes. Did we play well overall? Yes. Did we look like shite in the last 5 minutes. Yes. Just like Missouri, A&m, miss st. If you're too ignorant to see a pattern don't blame others. Our late game management is inexcusable.

Loss. And I don't even like basketball. I thought it would be murder, though. So there is that.

This is LSU, not Tulane. There is no such thing as a moral victory.

There's no such thing as a moral victory. That said, there are positives we can take away from the game. The future is bright, especially with the talent we have coming in next year.

Let's see how this team responds, before answering. We beat most ranked teams by double digits with that effort.

The true victory would be for Martin and Mickey to come away hungry for more, and return next season with more experience and Simmons etc at their backs. I think they could take the SEC away from Big Blue if they do.

It was a Loss, but not one to hang their heads about. Kentucky was far and away the superior team. The fact that the game was as close as it was says something about the program. I would have liked to have seen Jarrell Martin be a little more assertive late But when you have to fight throw guys like Cauley - Stein and Towns, I suspect physically it takes its toll. That's why you had Mickey star to assert himself late.

If they would only play the way every night the way that they played last night, then this would be a team to remember.

Moral wins don't count in the wins/loss columns.
