Miami in the Peach Bowl was pretty damn hard to beat.

Oklahoma in the BCS CG was great too.

We're going to have to bring the same intensity Saturday against the Hogs.

One of the best I've ever seen. Makes the lost bittersweet. They played out of themselves. Riley and Thomas came out if nowhere!

3 yds in the 2nd half. Devin Hester did nothing

This performance was better than 9-6. Bama's offense is much better than it was in 2011. And Bama missed a bunch of field goals in that game. I know they were long but they could've scored more.

Both were great performances against different teams. In 9-6, the D somehow got stronger as the game went on. We pushed them backward in overtime and held Bama to under 100 yards rushing (which is incredible). To hold them to 6 points in Bryant-Denny even with an OT period was incredible. They made it to the red zone one time the whole game and the closest they got was LSU's 17-yard-line. We held them to under 300 yards.

I like Aranda but don't forget he has talent to work with.

Yet he lacks experienced talent at the most important position

Florida in 2009 is also up there
The defense that game was great, but UF ran Dive almost half of its plays. UF was very conservative offensively that game.

Against a freshman qb? No, and stop posting.

Absolutely! What makes it even more special is this was Dave Aranda's first year with LSU and he installed a new 3-4 defensive scheme.

That in itself is a success. So, hats off to Aranda and Co. and the players for executing

Going back a bit, this one reminded me of the earthquake game in 1988.

Auburn had a pretty good offense and only kicked two field goals. They stuffed our offense all night until the game winning drive. I believe we did not cross (or barely crossed) midfield until that drive.

Tracy Rocker was the Johnathan Allen of that Auburn team. Both defenses were above average but probably not quite as good as the two in this past game.

Hard to say how many times our defense has performed in this way but it was definitely a thing of beauty. Those guys gave us everything they had Saturday night and we owe them our respect.

Virginia tech 2007 was pretty impressive. The most dominating performance I remember was against Arizona in 2006. We beat the hell out of them from start to finish.
