Was the roughing the passer call against LSU legitimate?

I believe in the third quarter Stidham threw incomplete on third down from inside the Auburn 10. However, LSU was penalized for roughing the passer. On the stadium replay it was not clear. There was a pass rusher who was being blocked and possibly was pushed into Stidham, but the replay stopped so it was not clear why the call was made. Was the call legitimate or was it the impetus from the block which caused the pass rusher to contact he quarterback?

They didn’t give a good replay at the game. I was wondering this as well.

If you are referring to the one on Key, it was clearly roughing the passer. He had thrown the ball 2 seconds prior and Key didn't see him throw it, and assumed he still had it.
Was the right call.
Was the right call.

That was our perception from 414. Looked engaged with the blocker. Should not have been called.

Watching on tv I thought he was blocked into him.

It was Roughing the Passer, if you mean the penalty on KEY, definitely

It was the right call...he took two steps after the ball was thrown

that's what I thought, too, but I did not have a good view.

Orgeron laid into Key on the sidelines. So, I assumed it was a good call.

100% the right call. No question about it.

Key didn't see him get rid of the ball, it was a pretty late hit.

yes, but the intentional grounding on us was not

and key was being held with an arm bar on the play.

to me, valid call for roughing the passer. he took two full steps and hit him with helmet also.

Close, but legit call
It wasn't close at all. Stidham had gotten rid of the ball like 3 seconds before Key hit him.

Against Key? Yes absolutely yes.
