It felt like Stony Brook was using tennis racket sized bats at the plate in that Super.
God that was tough to watch.
Coastal was a better team with better pitching. Stony Brook had like 4 guys that were red hot at the plate.

In a short series in college baseball, the better team doesn't always win. I still think 2013 LSU was "better" than UCLA.
Last year in the super regional, Louisville lost 2 straight to UCSB. Louisville had three 1st round MLB picks, plus a 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounder. They were obviously a superior club.
A coach may make a wrong move which can cost his team a win, and at other times somehow pocket aces will lose to trip deuces.
Stuff happens.

I agree.
I think a lot of people miss the fact that Coastal Carolina has slowly built one of the best baseball programs in the NCAA. They are top 10 in wins over the last 8 years or so. They have one of the best and most progressive coaches out there. Most importantly, they know how to build and sustain a program. I'm not saying they are a yearly CWS team, but they are a yearly regional/super team and that's saying alot for a small team with tight resources.
