his first start a QB? I've never heard this dicussed on here. Should'nt it have been at home against a lesser opponent? To many people have said something like "well, he had his chance and he blew it" Seems a lttle unfair.

I think at that point in the season we were still trying to win.

No, he should have started vs NM State. He was set up for failure vs AU. Really bad place for a true freshman to get his first srart.

But...that gave Les all the justification he needed to put him on the bench for who knows how long.

And if Les wouldn't have started him everyone would've been bitching to no end given his performance against NM State.

Please enter Les's brain and get the answers. He is the only one that knows what he was thinking.
Most human logic doesn't work with him.
He wants Jennings to succeed so bad that he put the LSU fanbase on anacids this year.

I don't think it was a wrong move at the time, just that we all knew that even the 1985 Bears weren't beating Auburn that night. My contention with Miles is that Harris was not inserted into the 2nd half of the Arky game to see if he could ignite a spark on offense. What about those "meaningful snaps" after the West was gone post Alabama?

According to the Rant Head Coaches at the time of the Auburn game, Harris was a sure bet to beat Auburn and go on to be first team SEC QB.

The kid needs time for his game and him to mature. Only retards want to throw Harris under the bus in the last regular season game of the year.

I've said since then, for anyone who wanted to see Harris the rest of the year that was the worst thing that could have happened.

Harris is probably starting today instead had Jennings played and most likely had the same result.

Absolutely not and this coaching staff should have apologized to him for setting him up to fail. Just shows how out to lunch Miles has been all season. An absolutely neglegent and irresponsible decision.

Jennings play going into the Auburn game dictated a change, Harris play prior to the Auburn game dictated he start. I wish Harris could have had his first start in the confines of Death Valley and vs a lesser opponent but that didn't happen. My bigger issue is Harris not get anymore opportunities "especially since Jennings play has regressed" after the Auburn game. That is more of the issue rather than where Harris started.
