Just back from the game. Very frustrating, having so many opportunities to win it and someone can't come through. There was a big contingent of USM fans a few rows behind me and they could get very obnoxious. A great win anyway.

i was there and i agree. very nice showing of USM fans.
if Landry doesn't slide into third after the error in the 8th then we win 90 minutes earlier, then he ends up scoring the winning run anyway so that was fitting
great game... it was nice to see a solid 5 thousand still out there after 11pm still supporting the guys

Not reading the whole thread but would someone like to clear up why lsusports.net says 12 innings and this thread says 13.

USM fans had a good turnout. Many of them fairly obnoxious. Made the ending much more enjoyable.
Our coaches need to go to a clinic on running the bags. They still make tons of errors. Davis waved mahtook around first wjen he was gunned out and waved him again late in the game(thankfully the second time around mikie was smart enough to hold up). Landry sliding into third is puzzling and brought some loud bitching from the lsu faithful in attendance.
I still can't for the life of me figure out why they didn't walk Leon to set up the double play. Made no sense. Then BOOM RBI triple.
It was great to see the kids celebrate this one. They fought hard and pulled out a fantastic Win.
