Oh really?

Player A -
348/443/656/1099
XBH- 42
SB- 15

Player B -
318/414/548/962
XBH- 34
SB- 35

One player was clearly superior offensively. Both played about equal defense and both are expected to stick at SS at the next level, with Bregman being questionable. Both are the unquestioned leaders on their teams. If the team the player plays for isnt brought into it, Player A (Swanson) is clearly more deserving.

And honestly Benintendi is the most deserving.

390/491/723/1214
XBH - 33 (18 HR'S)
SB - 22

Or maybe some don't see the whole picture. Offensively scouts don't look at BA as much as they do "quality at-bats" (QA)... Bregman has hit more balls on the money this year than most realize because they look at his BA... Mainieri said about a month ago that he's never had a player Square up the baseball so much right at people. In the Ole Miss series when they played extra innings he came to the plate with the winning run on 2nd with 2 outs and blasted a line drive that the left fielder made a great over the shoulder catch. A couple innings later he has pretty much the same situation and smokes a line drive right at the left fielder. Ignorant fans after the game calling in saying Bregman has to come through more for this team. Idiots! Very seldom does someone have so few strikeouts with that many at-bats and only hit in the .325 range. People who "know" baseball see it. People who don't know baseball look at stats alone. That's why he'll be a top 5 pick. Defense alone gives him the chance to win this award.

Yeah I don't think you can vote more than a certain number of times. I had three gys at work do it for 20 minutes each and it still is stuck on 39%

Bottom of the page says it may be delayed by up to 5 minutes.

You claim to know baseball, but just assume that the same cant be said about the other candidates, as if Bregman is the one with ALL the tough luck right? Swanson will be a top 5 pick as well, and will more than likely be taken before Bregman anyway. You think Bregman is the only one that plays great defense in the SEC? Hell, if you really want to go there, Stevenson should be in the mix too. Yes he makes the circus catches, but he also has the most range of any player in the entire NCAA. 368/420/474/894 is very comparable to Bregman this season and if you want to argue K's, he only struckout 3 more times than Bregman all season. Honestly, I dont even know what youre arguing with the "people who know baseball see it" point of view. How about, anyone that is not an LSU fan can clearly see that other players are more deserving?

I didn't say the other players weren't more deserving did I? I agree Swanson is a stud and I think they are very close. My point is numbers don't always tell the whole story of the way someone is hitting the ball. There's also the point of view that defensively who gets to more balls to make the plays... Leadership should also be factored in as well. That's what the people who vote should look at. Hopefully they've watched an equal amount of games for all and make their decision on watching them play and not strictly looking at numbers. Whoever wins it I'm certain they will choose the most deserving player. They all made the final cut for a reason. But with that being said if I have a vote I will always vote for an LSU Tiger...
