Stumbled across these old GBFTL videos on YouTube and thought I'd share. It's interesting to note the things that have changed verses the traditions that have stayed the same over time. It's also cool to see the old shots of campus and the old Tiger Stadium before the east upper was added, etc. Frank B. Wickes was the man.

1989 - Pregame

1989 - Victory Hill

1989 - Game day rehearsal

1987 Game Day Rehearsal - part 1

1987 Game Day Rehearsal - part 2

1987 Tigerama (part 1 of 4) Can easily navigate to the other parts.

1970 - LSU Band compilation

1970 - Fight for LSU and Battle Hymn of the Republic

1970 - A New World (halftime?) poor quality

It's pretty awesome that pregame looked exactly the same.

Yeah, with the exception of turning to the east and leading the first down cheer.

Anyone know what year that pregame show was implemented. I have heard it was Wickes' creation.

That happened in 1999. It was done for the new east upper deck. BTW....Wickes said (in public) that it was Roy King's idea.

None of the above. I was born in 1982,and didn't attend my first LSU game until 1995.

Thanks for posting. I'm in those 1987 videos. That was my fourth season in TGBFTL.
