I saw no Debo or Welter with LBers. And the second team unit was all Freshman...highly doubt that's the actual 2nd team unit.

Yea crazy how the LBs use to be a weak point and now they're pretty stacked at the position.

How pointless are some of these drills?

I grew up playing FB and in high school, and never really applied most of these drills to actually playing. In which situation is a DB going to be shuffling at a tip-toe pace waiting for a tip-toeing running back to turn up field?

I never understood the philosophy behind football drills like these. Why isn't time better spent going over plays end executing coverages?

In a situation where they aren't wearing pads maybe? It's the 2nd day of camp dude.

Melvin Jones looked slow in both videos. He needs to pick up the pace a little

If your argument is "they aren't wearing pads", then why have any of this ridiculous contact at all?

I can guarantee you diving and "roll-tackling" a soft-weightless dummy while landing on a 1.5 ft thick cushion prepares you for absolutely nothing on the football field.

Why not spend this time without pads perfecting coverages and gap assignments?
