Of course he had chances. The coaches evaluated him 100s of times in practice. You're such an egomaniac, though, that you don't accept that something could happen without you seeing it.

Admire this young man's attitude and actions. Hope he has success on the field and elsewhere.

He's clearly doing the right thing. When u get passed up on the depth chart twice by underclassmen, its cool to transfer, no hard feelings either way.

And is Retig next? Why not give Rivers a chance? We will never know how Rivers would have done if he never got on the field long enough to know.

shite, to hell with practice, lets let Bolden kick it off just to see what ol boy has amirite. Retig, Jennings, Harris...

Proclivity for QBs not like Rivers? Yeah I don't know when we have ever started a tall slow white QB.. Hard to remember a time.

Hell, he stuck around longer than some of our starters He has handled it well, best of luck to him. I still think he may have got a shot next year if anything happened to AJ....but he is doing the best thing for him.

He may play on Sunday. He has size. Someone will take a chance on him. If he gets with the right coaches, he could flourish.

Good luck to him. Might go to Delaware and be the next flacco. Who knows.

I'm extremely impressed with Rivers in that video. Very classy and is doing the smart thing by leaving. I wish he would stay but I think he can have a productive two years at another school. Hopefully he will go somewhere like San Diego State where his brother wants him. Just not a school that would compete against LSU incase he blows up.

Not taking anything away from the kid but this is dumbest statement ever. You know how hard it is to be drafted as a nfl QB and play. He never threw a single football in 3 years but he may play on Sunday.

Seems like he really hates that this is how it ended up, and I do too. He's a greet guy, that has worked hard, and I hope he finds success wherever he goes.

I don't know much about his play, but I do hope he lands somewhere, starts game one, and put on a clinic. Never heard any trouble about him, never bad mouthed the coaches/players, graduating early.
