1. LSU OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR MATT CANADA
Canada will be paid handsomely for his new position: LSU broke the bank for the well-traveled assistant, handing Canada a three-year deal worth $1.5 million annually to pull him away from Pittsburgh. It was during the 2016 season with the Panthers that Canada earned national recognition for a detailed yet still simple system — in its basic approach to offense, at least — that should fit well with LSU’s returning talent base.

I absolutely cannot wait to see Canada's offense. This will be the longest off-season ever. The baseball team better not let me down

He's already putting in work recruiting, has already exceeded expectations in that regard.

I have never been this excited about a Spring Game

A new offense is going to be almost surreal to see.

It's going to refreshing that's for sure. There is no question that Miles made LSU football extremely boring and predictable, fans are starved for a competent offense. The worst thing is he did this with one of the best players in college football.

Some of you just can't enter a football thread without mentioning CLM can you?

actually, Miles was fired in the middle of the season and O was interim for quite a while.

lost momentum with some recruits.

Yes, still in the running for some great ones. may clean up. may whiff.

I will judge better in March of 2018.

Canada is after northern guys he was in sync with. Maybe he pulls one or two. Two would be fantastic.

I loved the hire, but unfortunately, you know someone will find a way to piss on the parade. I think Canada is going to do great as OC.

After seeing what Aranda did in one year, I'm excited as well. It will be interesting to see if this team (especially offense) was actually as mismanaged as a lot of us expect it was.

How can you NOT bring up the outgoing coach when discussing a new offensive system?
