The trials officially start tomorrow with the hammer throw in which LSU's all-American Max Lauro will be competing. The running events start on Friday and include the heats of the 400, 800, and women's 100 hurdles. LSU all-Americans Rebecca Alexander and Charlene Lipsey will be competing in the 400 and 800 respectively, while all-American Jasmin Stowers and Lolo Jones will be competing in the 100 hurdles. Kimberlyn Duncan hits the track on Thursday, June 28 in the 200 heats while Barrett Nugent won't run until Friday, June 29 in the 110 hurdles heats. The entire meet will be broadcast live on the NBC and NBC Sports networks and/or livestreamed. Here's a link to the complete schedule:

I find it interesting that the only current or former LSU athlete that they pick to make the team is Walter Davis, one of the greatest athletes to ever put on an LSU uniform in any sport and one of only three LSU athletes to ever win the SEC Athlete of the Year award (Shaq and Xavier Carter are the others). This would be his third Olympics if he makes the team. Needless to say, I'm hoping that the other LSU athletes will blow up the form charts.

Lolo has that paragraph symbol by her name. Does that mean she's on the A team?

I don't believe the entire meet is being covered. The TV schedule says coverage begins at 8:00

But what's not on TV will be streamed online and all the running finals will be televised live.

That means that she's met the Olympic A qualification standard.

Lolo might not make it, her times this year are not great. I hope she puts up her best time of the year tonight. I am pullin for her.

At least Lolo got put in the easiest semifinal. Jasmin Stowers is up against murderer's row in her semifinal, and if she makes it to the final, it would be a HUGE accomplishment.

What time today is Lolo's heat?

Lolo is in the final.
EDIT: Also two of the big guns, Kristi Castlin and Danielle Carruthers, didn't make it through.

what was her finish in the semis?

Way to go LoLo. Her time of 12.75 was just shy of the best QT of 12.72. Good luck in the finals tonight. Run and jump like a Tiger.

She finshed second with a time of 12.75 +1.2w. Christina Manning, the recently crowned NCAA Champion, won that semifinal with a time of 12.72.
