meyer is right. I was at the 2007 game, the place went silent early. 80% were sitting on their hands when they jumped on us. Our crowd waits for the team to lift THEM up nowadays.

Hell the loudest cheer of the night came from a USC game for the love of God.

This is my second marriage and my wife is young. I was told back in the early 70's that I could not have children, in other words I was sterile. But 7 years ago my wife and I had a divorce and I remarried 5 years ago and guess what happened we have a 4 year old son now I was 56 then now I am 60 as of today the 16th and my son will be 4 on the 27th of Sept. So yes strange things happen, but I would not change a thing even if I could. I am retired and I spend every day with him. He even goes and plays golf with me when I go by myself. He wants to be a Tiger too and I tell him all the time keep on dreaming and that dream just might come true with God's help and a lot of hard work.

Casey,

I sure hope you didn't take offense because there was none intended at all. Guess I was just trying to say "WOW".

That's an awesome story, seriously. I'm sure your son is a great boy, and it's obvious that you're bringing him up right.

The USC score was announced in between a LSU touchdown and a Kickoff. Don't even act like it was in between plays and the entire stadium was quiet SFP.

I'd say the Penn state student section and crowd has pretty much taken that title... those frickers are louder than hell down 10 with like 3 mins left in the 4th quarter, the white outs, chanting 7 nation army...no way in hell our fans would could consistently perform in this manner anymore

Have to tried to find the article but to no avail where I think it was Stewart Mandel who compared the UF-LSU '07 crowd with the OSU-PSU '07 crowd. His comment was something along the lines of PSU being loud at the very start but died down soon afterward whereas LSU was mostly loud 'til the end.

I'm sorry that you missed the game 2 years ago...we were down and you couldn't have heard a plane foy overhead.

I wasn't at the 1979 USC or 1988 Auburn games, so those are excluded. However, to my knowledge, the only crowd noise louder than the 2007 LSU game against Florida (even when we were down) was the crowd noise at the 2007 LSU game against Florida when the USC score was announced.

Meyer is asking for trouble with this comment. Bear Bryant was right about Tiger Stadium.

Probably true - but we need to seek revenge anyway.

There's only one thing to do: Everyone, old and young scream your lungs out for 4 quarters. What generally happens is the 1st quarter and 2nd quarter are really loud. Then the early part of the 3rd quarter is quiet because people are still getting back from getting food. Then it picks back up.
