re: Updated Fox Preseason Top 10 Poll

Go LSU, but really?? This is a strange ordering of the PS top 10.

It's someone's opinion... We will see how things shape up at the end on the year

thats a terrible poll and im not just saying that as a bama fan

while they have been in the top 10 last few years, 21st in 07, the guys not even on campus were ranked in the #2 class. So they are almost caught up with UF IMO. No there yet.

But, I watch the acc and thats still a tough conference for them to make it out of. They dont even finish top 10 this year.

Just checked their recruiting rankings, they were #3 in 06 #2 in 05. So they have been top 10 for several years except for 07. So im gonna say there is no way in hell they should be ranked that high. They have had the talent. Its not like Jimbo just magically started bringing in talent. It has always been there.


Jimbo has been there since 07, so its not like he doesnt have players he wanted. I mean he should have been recruiting players for his offense this whole time.

as for FSU being #1, I think they're a top 10 team, but may be a yr away. if they beat OU in Sept though, they could make a NC run.

Yeah Florida State def deserves to be number 1. Their is no evidence that supports this. If they deserve to be number one then Arkansas or Georgia have the same argument.

Those are some impressive records and def deserve the number one spot. Especially after they lost their QB. :rotflmao:

Ok. First of all, this is not the 'official' ranking that Fox sports puts out. This is the work of Lisa Horne, an idiot savannt that is thrown a bone by Fox Sports every now and then. Let me tell you a little about Lisa Horne.

As little as 4 years ago I use to argue on blogs with Lisa about CFB, as she is a die-hard USC fan. But not just any die-hard. She was a blow-hard that felt USC owned the world and would never lose their 'modjo'. Any and everything went through the world of USC, and she absolutely hated (and still hates) the SEC. So whenever she gets a chance to snub them, she will.

This poll simply reflects her nostalgia for old school powers and means nothing. I don't know if Fox Sports has an 'official' poll, pre-season or not, but this was their last official anything.
