If you look at the numbers, Ensminger has mixed it up, but has always had a more run heavy offense. In the past, he's only called offense on a team that had an above average defense twice. Those two years were with Texas A&M and they finished with a really good record. It looks like he's learned a thing or two over the years as well. He must look at the talent on this team and be like a kid in the candy store. I know we haven't exactly played three top notch defenses. That goes without saying, but look at the increase in yards per game for his offenses in both passing and rushing on less plays per game than what he previously called. This is due to the fact that his use of personnel groupings and mixing up the play calling. The offense has a tremendous amount of big plays per game. Add in the fact that the defense is playing rock solid allows him to be even more aggressive when needed. If you just look at rushing attempts, passing attempts and total plays run per game, you can't see what this offense has been able to do. Yards per game, yards per play (which I haven't included), and total points are the tell tale signs of the job he's done in just a few short weeks. The real test is about to come. We all know that. I'm a lot more positive about this team's chances for success the remainder of the year. Kudos to Ensminger for putting an exciting team on the field in such a short time. The man bleeds Purple and Gold.

FWIW..... My computer doesn't double space when I type in this message box. Phone does, so there's that.

Not sure it's really fair to compare an offense today to offenses from literally 20 years ago

It's really not his offense, but he's calling the right plays.
