Darnell Lazare vs. Duke

10 points
3 boards
2 blocks

in 18 minutes while Thomas and Davis were out with foul trouble. Without him winning that game becomes extremely difficult. What are some great and unexpected performances yall remember in LSU athletics?

Warren Morris hitting the game winning Homer in the CWS was about as unexpected as it gets.

Auburn at LSU 2011

Tyrann Mathieu, Tharold Simon, and Spencer Ware suspended.

Ron Brooks and Kenny Hilliard stepped up big..

Kenny Hilliard
Rushing: 10 Carries for 65 yards. 2 Touchdowns. 6.5 yard average. Long of 25.

Ron Brooks
Had a huge pass break up in the end zone. Also had a 28 yard interception return for a touchdown.

I fully expected us to win this game without the 3 players, but didn't know we'd win in such a dominating fashion. Those 2 guys really stepped up though.

I thought we'd win by 30 with or without those three guys, to be honest.

Yea I expected us to win. I was surprised by how Hilliard and Brooks stepped up.

Eddie Ludwig scored 12 points, 4 rebs, 2 stls, 2 asst, and 1 block in 17 minutes of action versus Arkansas on Feb 4th.

He only had 5 points total in the 10 games after that, but I doubt we win that game without Eddie's play.

Chad Jones pitching was pretty clutch against Texas in the CWS... he handled the pressure well.

JaMarcus Russell in the NFL. I didn't think he'd be a star but also didn't think he'd screw the pooch that badly.

Also, Matt Flynn in the NFL. Thought he'd perpetually struggle to stay ahead of the scout team. He proved me wrong there too.
