I think the retard he was talking about was you since you don't know jack about football. Everytime I see you post on here you're trying to defend some bad habit of LSU's

What the frick were you doing during the national championship game? Sitting in a corner praying that we scored?

I'm thinking this attitude toward offensive football is a result of several different factors.

1. Fantasy football & video games - people become enamored with big offensive numbers, and detached from the physical aspect of football that separates the SEC, and in particular LSU.

2. The entertainment value of sports. The casual fan just enjoys scoring and explosive offense more than a quality defensive football. They are looking for titillation over efficiency.

3. The grass is always greener syndrome. We won by 40? So what? Look at OK St., they put up 80.

There are probably others, but this is what I can make out to be the main factors.
