Even with the suspensions, that is the most talented front 7 we will face this year, with the exception of Bama. That said, I think our OL is markedly improved and we ran the ball well. To discount their performance because of the suspensions is ridiculous.

I don't think Al. Defensive line is all that great.. they lost some big defensive players last year. but while I'm watching the replay of our game I am real impressed with our first half defense especially with Nevis. UNC wasn't missing any offensive lineman...

Dareus is very very good. Chapman is a quiet guy but he's a beast.

Ok then, you football knowledge king, who has more a more talented front 7 than UNC? Withou suspensions, that is the best we would have played all year. With the suspensions, they are slightly behind Bama and on par with UF. Who else, idiot?

Their LBs are probably as good as any group we will face this year.

Agree ... their front 7 had as much talent as we'll see this year. Which is why I'm still disappointed that Miles/Crowton chose to try to establish the running game as opposed to attacking the secondary.

the front 7 LSU faced was really talented and well coached. north carolina wasn't as bad off as people make them out to be (on defense).

Not to mention that UNC may also have been playing their bowl game Saturday night. For those who haven't heard, their Assistant Head Coach/DL Coach (John Blake) resigned Sunday morning due to the "distractions" being caused by the NCAA investigation. Probation is coming ... just a matter of when.

Moss was a 5 star player
Coples was a highly recruited 4 star player
McAdoo was a top DT and top 100 player.
Zach Brown was a 4 star player
Reddick was a 4 star player
Two 1st or 2nd round picks in Carter and Sturdivant

On offense, Boyd was a top 45 player in the country. Jones was a 5 star player. And Johs Adams was a top 200 player and 4 star player

We did establish the running game. Look, I am not a Miles lover by any means, but I think you are grasping at straws here. We ran the ball well against a great defense. Instead of talking about how good we looked on the ground, you spin it and talk about our struggles through the air??

Had we thrown it well, would you have complained about our lack of improvement in the running game?

I said before the game, it's not like 13 guys were hurt and replaced on gameday. UNC knew what was coming and those subs were practicing there azzes off for us. Those guys played with a lot of heart. Sometimes your foe is most dangerous when backed into a corner.

Check my posts ... I am by no means a "Negatiger" and I'm not complaining. Just stating I was disappointed that we didn't do more to attack UNC's extremely inexperienced secondary. Typically you attack a team's weakness, not it's strength. I also think it was an opportunity to give JJ more confidence in his passing. Just my opinion.

In many ways, Butch Davis had an easier task preparing his team for LSU, than Miles had preparing LSU for UNC. When a team has nothing to lose, they can play loose and actually do some things that they might not normally try. Conversely, when everyone is expecting you to blow someone out, the team can play tight, and you might be a bit more conservative than normal for fear of making a mistake and giving the other team confidence.

Quinn was missed the most. He is a top 5 pick and would have provided QB pressure. Kareem Martin will be very good, but was not physically ready. Coples is a natural left end, but was forced into tackle. Depth took a major hit.

You will never change their opinions. They are dead set on causing enough derision and negativity towards Miles, that it brings the team down, and they get what they want. And the F ing national media especialy Herbie are eating eat it up and laughing at us. The coaches did not cause the errors in this game. Just STFU support your team and encourage them and see what happens. If they emplode becuase of coaching you get your wish.
