Someone posted earlier about how media need to get off Nick Chubb fanfest. I agree that Fournette is currently unparalleled and our Run Blocking Oline is pretty ridiculous. But Nick Chubb is an equally violent runner and has amazing vision and ability to cut and make players miss. If we play him, our D won't have played anyone with his skill set for the intensity of a 60min game (even though they play our RBs they don't do it at the same intensity for 60mins). Our QB play is still in a state of ' Potential ' and 'swill get there'.

LSU is slated to have a great year (especially thru my LSU beer goggles). Put DL depth is an obvious concern as we saw this past weekend with players being tired. Smallest freak injury could make our defense very porous. Plus we are still young and I am a bit worried about all the Hype we are getting and affecting the correct growth of our team. Yea we are pretty good and getting better each game + lots of potential of rapid growth. But honestly have been underwhelmed by our DB's relative to the albeit crazy high expectations. Ik I am being greedy when we allowed 158yrds from 38 attempts last week but he is a walk on QB + lots of yards allowed against Prescott when our DBs should have been able to stop him. We are damned good but mental mistakes and no consistent shutdown ability at end games makes me a bit worried.

ESPN and many other websites prognosis is that LSU or OleMiss makes it to CFPlayoff over UGA. Chubb and Sony are brilliant backs and even though we have Fournette... They play out Defense.. Not offense. Lack of Dline depth and less than elite DB play makes me give UGA the offensive edge over us over the length of the game. Plus UGA's QB and pass game is getting insanely good. He has had over 90% completion Last 2 games and and not from dinky passes but have gained hundreds of yards in the process. Their Pass threat is very real especially if it continues to imporve.

I am glad we don't have to play them unless we make it to SECCG as not sure we can beat UGA if we played them now or in the next couple weeks. Argument that we will continue to get better can equally be made for them as well and they could be a juggernaut to deal with come SECCG. Barring injuries and continued growth and opening up of our passing game could make us unstoppable but given all the Ifs ands or Buts surround our team relative to theirs I am very worried and wary of UGA.

You will have a long time to worry about UGA should the Tigers end up facing them. That must be exciting for you to worry that much and for that long.

They've beaten ULM, Vandy, South Carolina and Southern. We'll see this week how good they can be.

Playing Georgia means we won the SEC west.
I'll take that worry anytime.
We will get a glimpse of how their D can stop a good running game this weekend. We will also see how bama stops a good running game. I can't wait for that match up this weekend. Geaux dawgs!!!

They are a very good team, After they beat Bama, not much left for them except FLA... SO in that case the only worry is to play them in the SEC title game IF both get there.......

Just way too long to read the whole thing. I have at South Carolina, Florida, at Bama, at Ole Miss, TAM and Arkansas to worry about way before I ever start thinking about a "possible" game with UGA.

UGA's only half decent opponent thus far is a very, very bad South Carolina team. Plus, UGA is notorious for collapsing in epic fashion on an annual basis. I can pretty much guarantee you they will crap their pants against Florida, and will get thumped by someone else as well.

Agreed. I'm hoping Chubb and Henry run all over their opposing defenses. It will pump me up about our chances against them.

Umm yeah, I'm going to go ahead and worry about that closer to December, like maybe in two months.

There's a whole lot of football to be played till then and many possibilities good and bad to them and us.

I think Ole Miss has shown weakness. They struggled against Vandy and will do what they did last year. Start hot and then fall. I am not convinced they are a Top 10 team. They beat Alabama which is their only accomplishment. We all know is not the same team as they have been in the past.

Lot of returning players on defense. Wisconsin, State, Arkansas, Bama, Auburn from last year. And if we do play UGA, we would have played Arkansas and Bama again. All those teams could run the ball, and ran it well. Uga in the east got to see auburn last year and will see bama this year. Our d has faced way better rbs more often then they have.

Qb hasnt turned it over. You will win a lot of games. Even if we just throw for 100 yds. kelly can throw for 300 but you turn that ball over to LSU 2-3 times, you are done.

Did you see the kind of yardage that aTm has been giving up, and their DLine is much better. If Chavis was our coordinator, we would have lost that Mississippi State game...TRUST ME! Our D used to be pathetic in deciding moments of games!

So you're saying UGA offense > LSU offense because of our defense?

Makes sense..

I agree with Chadwick. Bama will be a good test and an excellent forecast of UGA's run defense and offense. I am more worried about Bama and Ole Miss than I am about UGA. If we play them in the SEC CG that means we have probable run the table in the West and I would then like our chances against them.

Georgia hasn't played anyone worth a crap and Mississippi needed 24 points off turnovers to beat Alabama.

Anyone putting this game down already as a loss for Alabama is a football retard.
