The vultures are circling this kid. SI, it's writers, the club promoters, the NCAA and even LSU have all exploited this kid and his talent to the tune of millions of dollars. Now this hack piece threatens not only his eligibility, but the eligibility of a few others in an article full of assumptions and misleading innuendo.

This article and the NCAA will open up a Pandora's Box if this is allowed to ferment the negative sentiment with regards to these young athletes and the celebration of Hip-Hop Culture. It is a party used to promote a rap/singing group, which is a necessary activity for the genre. Even if old white guys with arcane thinking patterns don't like or understand it, they can't legislate college athletes to such exclusivity as to not allow the essence of that which they are already an active member of. The collegiate experience is not just about the matriculation of young folk strictly for academic purposes. It is the totality of each individual's experiences that affects the maturation process, and this is but a continuation of the natural growth of expression for their generation.

after reading about the Mathieu family's response through legal channels, there could be all sorts of shite hitting the fan.....

and a lot of it could be heading back at SI....

Really rooting for him to come back. Would be an incredible story if he makes it. The crowd will go berserk the first time he steps back into the field

hate to see that he has fallen but would be more impressed by his ability to rise above it all...

The buzz that this article will get is way more than it deserves. I mean even if it's accurate, so what. A college kid who got famous let his friends get in on it. I Thought when they mention images of him in jersey it was something he posed for, but even that was stuff anyone can grab online.

That explains why the story is so all over the place. He probably wanted an exclusive, got turned down but still had the deadline so he took a bunch of recycled material and cobbled it together with BS for a story.

It's Thamel and Evans. It's always all over the place with those two. It's also always complete bullshite in the end. Not one of their "hit" pieces has produced a single sanction or investigation on a school. They are like the lawyers that chase ambulances for a living.

All these people make millions off this kid. NCAA, SI, ESPN, LSU, and so on. But this kid has to pay the price, suffer the bullshite penalties they wanna inflict on him. There is just something very wrong with that picture!

Outside of the original piece on the Dan Patrick show, I haven't heard it mentioned today.

I posted this earlier, but here it is again. Seems like Thayer Evans, one of the "reporters" in the story, has a history of harassing people. Sounds like a POS

Thayer Evans Might need a new phone number

Calling Redfield Calling Redfield. I swear on everything that I just got a call saying that Tyrann was going to be reinstated for the Bama game. He had a private workout with coaches two weeks ago. I'm sure this is all in limbo now. My source is very reliable.
