-best player in the country
-best player on the best team in the country

you usually only need the 2nd criterion, and he has both

If he doesn't win it then no defensive player will ever win it again

His impact far eclipses Woodson's Heisman year

He finally made his impact in the return game and did it in 2 big games when we needed it most

I wouldn't say clear cut. Montee Ball is one TD shy of Barry Sanders' record.

There is no clear cut winner this year. It is going to come down to regional bias.

No. How can you give it to a guy who was suspended for a game and made no impact plays in 3-4 games?

Idk about clear cut. RG3 is an amazing player. TM7 is just such a ball hawk though and makes play after play after play. If they don't at least bring him to NYC it's a joke.

It doesn't matter who they give it to. Tyrann will just strip the Heisman and recover it for a TD. The Honey Badger Takes what he wants.

If not for the one game suspension, and because it was for weed, I think he'd be a front runner. I'm not campaigning against him, but that's what voters may think. He is the best player in the country on the number 1 team in the country.

But he hurt his chances by getting suspended, and I don't think he even got an invite to NYC. They have already gone out.

Nah, Clairborne is just as good IMO. TM is great but he isn't head and shoulders the best player in LSU's secondary much less the best player in the nation.

He really does make so many plays.

He's broken career records and he's only a sophmore.

He's an incredible defensive player and kick returner. He does it all.

How he was not considered in the race all year is beyond me.
