1) Go easy on Harris, the kid wants to do well, he's a fine young man with a drive to get better. He wants to play well. He is very talented as well, his arm strength is in the upper ranks of QB's in college, he can spin it... (Meaning he has a high revolution per distance than most) I think he runs decently well and can extend plays with his feet. He is not like JJ, (I don't think JJ had much talent at all.)
2) The coaches did fail him, its like putting a square peg in a round hole, this is why i don't like miles and never have. He wants to run his old school system instead of calling plays tailored to a players strengths. Harris would be damn near and All-American if he were playing for Urban Meyer because Meyer runs a simple one read offense. The pro style offense has multiple reads on many of its passing plays, too much for a young QB. Thats why those coaches always have QB's just step right in and do well the majority of the time and we continue to struggle. He wants an athlete who makes plays instinctively and slows them down and basically goes information overload on them, giving them too much to think about when it should be quick read and throw. Why do you think most high schools put their best athletes and QB and have them run a simple offense... Cause it works.. If you (les) want to run a pro-style offense then recruit only pro- style QB's

3) miles told him to hit showers early too, that's why he shagged arse to locker room

yes, we should go easy on Harris. he's LSU and that makes him special and he does work very hard.
as far as the "coaches failed him" part, I think that's a crock of shite and an excuse. maybe BH would be better in a different "system" that throws more but it wouldn't improve his accuracy.
he has been making LOUSY THROWS. that is NOT a coaches fault.
maybe you are just a friend of his but quit making excuses for him. newsflash: a QB has to be able to make accurate and catchable passes.
excuses are for losers.

"The coaches failed him". typical of today's generation to put the blame elsewhere and not take responsibility for your own actions.

So in this ridiculous hypothetical, Harris isn't throwing these dump routes 100 mph?

Bull shite. He's horrible at the short gsme which is crucial for spread attacks. DE footwork and pocket presence is miles ahead of Harris. He's struggling to read defenses. Perfect example was the throw to md with the corner all over him. Lucky it wasn't picked. He never looked anywhere else. He was goin there regardless. Last week he throws into double coverage to x on a quick throw which was also inaccurate when the y reciever had one corner 8 yards off of him. He's inaccurate and struggling with reads. Still makes one read and throws. He's to nervous in the pocket to this point. Hope it gets better but I'm not confident it will. Etling has been coached up on footwork and reading defenses why not Harris?
